Another season is upon us! For our family here in Montana, the coming of Autumn means cooler days with crisp mornings and evenings. Perhaps it will bring an end to the long, hot and dusty summer we have had, which has brought drought to much of the area.
For some of my family members in the desert south, perhaps it will mean lower, more comfortable temperatures as well. But for most of them, it will probably mean cooler, dryer days ahead as a wetter-than-normal summer comes to an end.
No matter where we live we are all probably feeling the need to get things “back on track” and bring our lives in order. This post is among the last of this year, and one of the last for this century. Yet it doesn’t matter where we live, or what climate we experience, we all share the common bond that is unique only to our family. A bond that will far outlast the century and be remembered and maintained for generations long after we are gone. We are, after all, relatives, and as such, have a responsibility to love and care for each other.
Please reach out and share a moment with someone in your family that you haven’t heard from in a while. Let them know you care, and that they are thought of from time to time. You never know what lies ahead. Let’s not be caught wishing we had done or said....
Enjoy and strengthen the bond we share!
