Giving Thanks (November 2010)

Getting close to Thanksgiving Day -- probably the largest "family" holiday of the year... out of all the holidays on the calendar, this is the one that brings families together the most.  

Maybe it is because there are no fireworks to set off, no costumes and candy to deal with, no presents to give -- just a table loaded with lots of food, and surrounded by family and friends.  The focus is to simply give thanks.
 

I have a lot to be thankful for: a supportive network of family and friends and people close by that care about me and my welfare.  This means more to me than anything else.  It makes life worth living and that is the best gift of all.
